Im trying to encorage my son to communicate more and stop the whining until i gues what he wants..…

Quite a lot of people use sign language, if you don't know how to sign, you can learn basic signs like "eat" and "drink" and teach him by signing as you speak the word to him.

@leroydoom i did.. but he doesnt use them anymore.. he use to say words like milk water more food... but for the past 3weeks he doesnt use any of that

Hmm, not sure what all causes speech regressions and what is normal but definitely bring it up to his pediatrician.

My son is speech delayed and has had speech therapy twice a week for about eight months now so I've never personally experienced what you are experiencing because my son's speech has always been delayed.

Just try to be patient, get down to his level and give him options "do you want this or that" that's what helped me with my son. Sorry I can't be of more help.

My son is the same way, he says some words, but he prefers not to bother. Constant tantrums as well. I wish I had a solution, but I think it will just take time

There's such a thing as selective muteism. Where a child can talk but won't. Talk to your doctor about it. Kids usually grow out of it but it's still good to have all the information

@sashie, yea, and he will actually listen to everyone else but me. The only thing is is someone else tells him no he comes crying to me 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
