Dumb question BUT How did you guys choose a pediatrician? We’ve gone to military doctors since Jais…

I went to my primary Dr and asked her to make a referral list and she gave me a list of 5 names. I couldn’t have been happier with the options she gave me

I asked around, look at reviews. Jais is still young yet you can find a clinic you like and ask to have a new doc at each appointment until you meet all of them and choose one from there.

First, I look up pediatricians that accepted my insurance. Then I read reviews on each individual ped. I read reviews of their office too. I don't want to deal with rude receptionists or a bad doctor. I research if they've had any medical malpractices reported and all sorts of stuff. Then when I feel comfortable, I continue narrowing down based on reviews, insurance, distance from my home. Etc.

@izzypeasylemonsqueezy, yeah we’re gonna stay with his pediatrician he’s had since birth but right now we can’t since he’s back in my home state. I have to find a temporary one for the next 8 months.

You can also get a list from your OB lol. That's the shorter way. They gave me a long one with each baby, but I personally didn't go with any they recommended. Both of my girls are with a family doctor who runs his own practice. I never thought I'd get a male doctor for them, but he's amazing.

I picked his because it's in the same building as my gyno, haha. The practice has about 20 doctors so I was able to try a few different doctors until we chose the one we liked the best.
