Is it wrong to feel angry or upset that family is bringing small children to my baby shower? My BIL…

If you don't want kids then they should respect that granted most people have kids now and days and won't come if kids aren't allowed. But All the baby showers I've been to has been kid friendly so 🤷🏾

@breederofboyz im not the one throwing it, my mother is. I dont mind children, i mind the rude and disrespectful ones who are always being yelled at.

So let her tell them they're not invited . Your party , your way . Who cares of they get mad , they most likely not bringing a gift anyway

@breederofboyz i just dont see why they cant stay home with my FIL instead of having the three of them come. My husband is coming bc its his child, but i dont want to be rude and say no since they drove from out of state to come

If you don’t want kids coming I’d tell them. Surely they’d understand and try and get a sitter

@inkedsouthernbelle there are two people who were invited and I mentioned to bring their kids (one i nanny for and the other i know since he was born / both ages 2) i dont mind them but the older the boys the weirder I feel about them coming. You know? What are they going to do while everyone is playing games and doing girl things.

@steph_anie, well it’s your shower and people should respect your wishes but with their being other children coming and all I wouldn’t sweat the other little boys being there. They may be very well behaved and entertain themselves during the party and you won’t notice them at all but if they’re bad and acting up then don’t be afraid to tell their mothers because it is your party after all. Stay positive about it though and just see how things turn out when the time comes

I think your gonna be so all over the place that a few kids (that age) won’t even make an difference. I had children at mine ages 5-12 probably about 5 of them and I didn’t even notice they were there... your going to be entertaining people,opening gifts,eating etc. I think you will be fine 😊
