Just watched the movie kidnap that I got at redbox today. It was alright. I know it was just a movie but kids get abducted every single day. It was heartbreaking to see. I couldn't ever imagine going through that. I would do the same of what she did for her son. I wouldn't give up trying to get him back... Makes me wanna be extra cautious and keep my eyes on my boy in public and even in our yard at ALL times. No getting out of my eyesight EVER.

That makes me want to be a hovering mom as well but all we can do is just teach our children not to trust strangers and be so gullible and feel in our hearts we’re making the right choices and teaching them tools that can save their lives everyday. My mom always told me as a kid if someone was trying to abduct me to fight tooth and nail and draw as much attention as possible. I worry about these things as a mother too but the fact that you’re worried means your a great, protective and smart mama and that’s the best way to be for your child. There’s a perfect balance I strive for with my son and that’s for him to be social and polite but know danger when he sees it. I’m even gonna rehearse scenarios with him when he gets old enough just like my mom did with me and that’s all we can do as parents
