Question mamas: if a 1 year old has a sinus infection and/or ear infection, is it contagious? More specifically to other children?
My friend asked me to watch her son for 2 days (yesterday and today) but failed to tell me until today that he has a sinus and ear infection and this kid has been snotting, sneezing, and coughing ALL OVER our place and Vinnie’s toys. She swears up and down that neither are contagious but I looked it up and a sinus infection is typically viral, meaning it can be transmitted correct??
What should I do? I’m trying to separate the boys as much as possible but I’m really unhappy about this situation. She’s not coming to get him until much later tonight.

A sinus infection is contagious.
I would buy Lysol and start spraying all of your sons toys.
I would of been pissed , not because he’s sick but because she didn’t tell you til after you already said yes and the next day smh. Who does that! 🙄

Ear infections are not contagious. It depends on if his sinus infection is viral (contagious) or bacterial (not contagious).

@mami.jasmine, smh I knew it. 🤦🏾♀️😡 I just clipped coupons for a 3 pack of Lysol wipes so I guess the money she pays me today is going towards them! I’m pissed for both reasons honestly, I’m pregnant and I think it’s reaaaally rude of her to try and pull this on me, and exposing my household to this. I understand she needs to work but I’m supposed to start MY job soon and if this hinders it is really gonna have some choice words.

@theinkedmommy, I’m not watching anyone’s kid ever again tbh. This situation burned me. First she was going to pay me yesterday when she dropped him off, then she said she’d pay me today when she picks him up. We’re gonna have some serious issues if she doesn’t have the money today, I’m watching him for less than HALF of her daycare costs. She didn’t leave a car seat so we’re stuck inside all day.
