Has anyone given a family member or friend a gift card and asked for them to tell you exactly what they decided to buy with it? My FIL gave me a Hobby Lobby gift card for my birthday, which was nice and I appreciate it, but wrote in the card to let him know what I bought with it. I just feel like that's kind of weird but maybe it's just me. He hasn't been on my "A" list lately, unfortunately so I could just be nit picky about it but I told my husband (jokingly) that I was going to buy a Buddha statute with it to put in my Living room. My FIL is a strict Christian who was raised in the Catholic church so he would not appreciate that 😆

I just realized that Hobby Lobby probably doesn't even have Buddha statutes because of the store's religious background LOL

I don’t think it’s weird, I think it’s just curiosity like knowing you got something great with your gift. I ask my brothers to send me pictures of what my nephews and niece get with money I send

My SIL is a total cunt bucket and we’ve always butt heads so everything she says I’m sure is a way to get on my nerves

@santistevanmommie he is a nice caring person and he likes to help people, there's just a lot of background crap that's happened, mainly involving his crazy, controlling, psycho new wife and the fact that he lets her control when and if he can see his only blood granddaughter. So you can imagine that just this new year he has seen my daughter a total of 3 times now. But her grandson they see and watch him every week and that's ok. ☹

i think it's weird lol. just bc i don't use gift cards right away, sometimes i trade them in at pawnshops for cash instead 😂🤷🏽♀️
