I think my father is on the brink of another psychological breakdown. Every time he talks about God or religion it’s not long after he’s checked himself into the psych hospital. Ohhh please I don’t feel like going thru this again. I don’t want my children around it like I was my whole childhood. I’m so stressed now.

I am sorry. I don’t have an experience dealing with that but I hope things get better for you. Can you distance yourself from your father?

@theycallmemommy, I can, but that usually makes it worse. But I get so scared of him when he acts like this. I’m almost 30 years old, so I feel like I can decide if I want him in my and my children’s life or not.. I hate being like this but he causes more harm than good 90% of the time

@j.andtaysmama, Damn, I am so sorry you have to deal with that. I can only imagine what that must be like especially if he is around your kids. Has this been going on a long time with your dad?

@theycallmemommy, since about 1999 😞 my mom said he wasn’t anything like he is now when they got together. my son doesn’t even like being around him anymore. And I’m not gonna force it. Ugh. It’s just an ugly mess
