There is this girl on my Facebook always running her yap saying things like “I hate when parents treat Easter as a 2nd Christmas there’s no reason to buy your kid that much stuff” and regarding buying stuff like iPads or tablets for your kids “I refuse to buy my kids that shit they don’t need it” my guess is she can’t afford to buy her kids this type stuff so she puts down people who do. It just really annoys me because there is nothing wrong with either!! Like you got your kid some sidewalk chalk and a coloring book for Easter? That’s awesome I’m sure they’ll love it! You bought your kid an iPad and a bicycle for Easter? Also awesome I’m sure your kids will love it! Why does everyone have to put other parents down all the time for how they choose to parent or what they choose to get for their child! Like there is nothing wrong with spending money on your kid if you have it and there is nothing wrong being minimal if you don’t. 🤷🏼♀️ and it’s also okay to do both! It just drives me nuts every time I see it!

@southernsass, I get it but it’s also not okay to constantly comment on people’s stuff saying they’re ridiculous for getting their child this or that.. really not her business you know?? Not her bank account!!

I think parents should be able to give their kids whatever they see fit and not have to be judged for it. We are financially stable so we can afford to buy nice things for our kids. I will say, my kids are not spoiled because of it. Usually birthdays, Christmas, Easter is when they get nicer things.

This particular incident isn’t actually about me she has said made comments on my Christmas and Easter posts but tonight she comments on a friend of mines post about getting her daughter an iPhone for her BIRTHDAY again saying it’s ridiculous parents buy shit like that for their kid if their kid wants one they can get a job blah blah. And that’s all well and good that’s her opinion but that is SO BEYOND RUDE to comment on a post about a fricken 13 year olds birthday and what she got. Fuck off with that!

@samanthaann, It sounds like she is jealous. Why go out of your way to be rude to people because of what they bought their kids. It’s not her money that’s being used. A 13 year old getting a phone is reasonable and frankly none of her damn business! She needs to get a life!

I totally agree with you! Maybe the parents pinched every penny they could all year to be able to buy that iPad. They deserve to be excited to give their children something they worked hard for. And if someone can’t afford to, or chooses not to, that’s their decision and they should own it. I can also respect choosing to not go big on holidays. Maybe they chose to spend money on a big vacation or something else instead. Regardless moms shouldn’t need validation from other moms and also don’t deserve judgement either!

Oh I would’ve private messaged her because that’s bs! I don’t do a big Easter we do coloring books and chalk lol but I’m not gonna be rude if you decide to buy your kid a $500 gift cause I don’t care, but also it’d be none of my business. She’s a jealous b for commenting on the girls birthday present.
