Charlie turns 1 year next month and I want to do the cake smash pictures a few weeks or a week before his birthday is it bad to give him cake since he hasn’t had any milk I’ve given him so little pieces of bread and pancakes before and he didn’t have any allergy to them but he’s never had any sugary sweets like frosting and cake is that okay to give it to him?

@mommybear_, he should be fine. Regular milk in a small portion will not hurt him. Either make them yourself or like I said a bakery can make them just ask for thinner frosting.
@mommybear_, yes. But we made them so I used almond milk which she was used to drinking and didn’t do the frosting too thick. You can always have a bakery make them as well just ask for thinner frosting.
@tmross, but isn’t that the same thing as using a cake cause of the frosting?
We did a cupcake because my daughter was in the same boat. That way it was still fun but in smaller portions
