Anyone else’s so have no intentions at all to ever get married?? Every time I bring it up or say absolutely anything…

@chocolatemomma, not really but then again I was 14 when we got together so it wasn’t on my mind either. But at one point he told me he wanted to marry me one day a couple years ago and I’ve never heard anything about it again.

Oh OK. Well, maybe he's just uncomfortable with that subject. 🤷

My friend and his girlfriend have been together for 20 years. He is scared of getting married and doesn’t want to ever get married but he loves her and wants to be with her. They’ve broken up over it in the past but now she has come to terms with it. They own a house together and have moved forwarded in other ways in their relationship. It sounds like maybe you are still young? If so, most guys are terrified of getting married at a young age. Some guys never want to get married. You have to ask yourself how you feel about the relationship, the need to get married and if you’re willing to stick it out.

Marriage is overrated most people who get married end up divorced. I was 14 when I met my husband and left him at 22 because he didn’t want to but of course he asked me to get married to get me back, im 38 & even though it worked out for us (grateful) I wouldn’t rush no young person to do so.

If you want to get married to him, maybe just bring it up again and ask him if that’s what he wants. If my boyfriend was afraid to get married and always shut it down, I think I’d break up with him for not listening to what I want/him not telling me how he really feels.

It's taken me three years to get s/o to even consider it. You have to decide if marriage is something you can do without.

I don't think it's overrated but I think people often do it for the wrong reasons and live to regret it.
