Today I found out my MIL is planning some party in July for our son. Hes due June 14 and I already said to everyone that he will not be taken out around people the first month (a walk around the block with the dogs is different) I sat there listening to her tell me that she is planning this without speaking to either one of us on whether we want it. I didnt mean to sound rude, but I said, if no one has their tdap they are not touching or coming near our son. What I also dont understand is, he is our son and when I said he wont be seeing anyone until we feel comfortable about taking him out, its like that choice went out the window when said to my MIL. How is it possible for MIL to be such controling, selfish woman? I seriously cant handle her and Im pretty sure Im going to blow my lid if she tries to play the parent role.

@girlmom. THANK YOU! holy shit. Ive never met such rude ass family memebers before. Even when I told my mom no one will be called until baby is born, she told me to get over it and people can wait in the waiting room until he is born...lol what?! I will never understand parents and their need to control something they cant or shouldnt

@steph_anie, the only person I’m calling is my mom when I’m headed to the hospital. I don’t want any other her and my husband there. Not even tell them hers born until we get home. I got selfish for this but this is my last baby, I want it as peaceful as possible. My last delivery, people just started showing up and I didn’t get to enjoy my baby😒

@girlmom. I am so over it. I speak my mind a lot but my husband already told me to stop and keep the peace. As of right now, no one will be invited to the hospital, or over our place until we are comfortable. Plus we own a gsd who is so protective of me and the baby that i have no issue telling her to attack

@girlmom02 i love her, but i dont love how she is over stepping. She is a grandparent and should remain a grandparent. There is no room for a third parent in this relationship. If my parents can respect that and my own grandfather can respect it, so can she.
