My son has a 102 fever and we have given him Tylenol twice (spaced out) and it just won't break. At what temperature do you start to worry?
He doesn't have any other symptoms but a fever. This has never happened before.
I'm internally freaking out.

Try motrin. Sometimes you have to cycle the 2. Keep him naked with a light blanket, cool rag, popsicles.104 is when I would worry.

If you can’t break it, have him see the doctor. An infection means a virus most of the time. Did he recently get shots? He could have an ear infection, or a virus.

Dr told us not to worry unless the fever got up to 105 or lingered for more than 3 days. They also said not
To medicate unless the fever was 102 or higher. Fever is how babies fight infections, don’t worry. I usually give my son a lukewarm bath, put him in light clothing, and do my best to keep him hydrated and comfortable

@kambam @theinkedmommy @shellbell0391 thank you all so much for your responses! They helped a lot. We ended taking him to the doctor and they tested for strep and looked him over and everything is clear. The doctor said fevers are very common right now and just to keep him hydrated and Motrin to keep the fever down.

@journeyofbabbles, You’re welcome! Glad he’s ok. Fevers can be scary. Pedialyte is amazing for keeping them hydrated.
