So my ex sister in law (who I'm still very close with) and my mom, and my kids godmother are suppose to do my baby shower. We are shorting for the middle of may since I'm due June 30th. Still haven't found a place.. Didn't even start invitations yet. I feel like if I don't help I won't be having a baby shower. I was at Wal-Mart last night looking at stuff and my boyfriend said its not my job to do that. That its all up to them. I really wana help! And they are gonna need to know who all to invite!! Did you mommas help with your baby shower??

My sister threw mine for me but tried to include me in the decision making, she found a nice park and asked me if it would suit me, she worked up ideas for food and asked me if I liked them, made cupcakes and desserts herself based on my favorites :) I wanted to do Halloween themed since my shower was in Oct so she got cute little decorations to put on the tables, made up little games I okayed. I feel like the work shouldn't be your responsibility if someone else offers, but you should definitely be included in the small details.

Oh, and she and her husband made up the invitations and showed them to me for my approval before mailing them out

@leroydoom They did offer to do it. But my sister law isn't one to depend on. I don't wana end up inviting people and not having a shower. I guess it won't hurt if I help. I'm probably gonna have to make the food too and buy some decorations.

@brossymommaoftwo Yeah, probably wouldn't hurt if you also enlisted the help of a good friend to kind of be your assistant in the decision making/coming up with feesable ideas so you don't get overwhelmed lol most women love helping to plan showers anyway :)

@brossymommaoftwo Awe, you can do "pretty in pink" invitations :) I think there's a few girls on this app that are pros when it comes to photoshopping and making invites/cards.
When you call up your ex mother in law just be like "I had a few ideas..." then you can offer to do a few things so she doesn't think you don't want her to do it and plus that might motivate her more.

I helped with mine. My mom did it for me. I made my own invites because I wanted them to look a certain way but she did everything else and asked me about it.
