I think I may have a UTI, I’ve never had one before but it burns when I urinate 😭😩 .. for those of you who have had them before what worked for you? Do you normally schedule an appointment with your OB to get checked?

Drink cranberry juice
Nessa·
@mommytavarez, thank you will do!

@nessaness because you're expecting, I think it might be a good idea to let your OB know your symptoms, if he/she is concerned, they'll tell you to come in to be seen.

Try to keep drinking.. and try not to hold your pee at all .. that make u get UTI or sitting on hot surfaces

I would call your doctor and tell them you want to come in and get tested for a UTI and until then drink a lot of cranberry juice, water, and eat yogurt too. You need to say that's what you want to do though because when I called mine and told him about symptoms I had for weeks he payed no mind to it being a UTI and told me to go buy monistat instead. Never used the monistat, went to an urgent care place, got tested there and was then put on a 10 day prescription for a severe UTI

Just rubbing Tea tree oil and coconut oil down south worked wonders for me !
Nessa·
@leroydoom, will do thank you! Yeah when they say every pregnancy is different they aren’t kidding my last pregnancy I didn’t even get a uti I’ve never had one but there’s always a first time for everything.
Nessa·
@mommytavarez, yeah I haven’t been drinking as much water as I should and I tend to hold in my pee at night 😭 but I’ve been drinking a lot of water and peeing a lot now the burning sensation has gone away seems like .. as long as I’m drinking water.
Nessa·
@ladyblauvelt.skysmomma, yeah I’ll call in and let them know!! Thank you! & No way they didn’t do anything to treat it at your Dr. office .. & you ended up with a severe uti that’s horrible..
Nessa·
@underthewood, really I’ve never heard of that but I will keep that in consideration thank you!
Allyson Almeda·
@nessaness I also had the symptoms for a week or more before I said anything to a doctor so it was partially my fault. I tried to take care of it myself first with just water, cranberry juice, and yogurt and that alone isnt enough
Nessa·
@ladyblauvelt.skysmomma, when you were trying to self treat it would the symptoms not go away? That’s the thing in my head I want to self treat but at the same time I know uti’s aren’t the best and can’ become severe that’s something I definitelydont want happening ..
Allyson Almeda·
@nessaness if you self treat the symptoms will go away temporarily but the infection never does and its because juice and water can't kill the bacteria so it remains and continues to spread and it can be bad for you and the baby if it infects your kidneys
