I would rather do the gun. It’s quick. I cannot stand for my child to be in pain.

@uncouth, Even if they use disposable guns, a gun is blunt force trauma to the ear, vs a tattoo shop that uses a needle which goes straight through the skin. The guns have a blunt end on them.

For sure call beforehand because some shops have an age limit.

@elizabeth20072012 I'd also find a reputable tattoo shop, they have a lot of experience with peircings and are very clean.

A tattoo shop is the safest place to go. With a needle the ears cells are not pushed into each other meaning it does not cause much swelling or irritation. With a gun the cells and the skin are pushed together and with a baby it might mean they can get infection, fever or even pain for more than we realize. I’m sorry but I disagree with Walmart. I use to work there and they are not experienced.. for them it’s a matter of which person is available and if you’ve seen it done before you can do it.. they made me try one time and I refused.
