Guys I'm super nervous! I get induced tonight. And I'm a wreck. Idk what to do. I've had this planned for awhile, but the closer it gets the more doubtful I am. I'm not having an epidural as far as I know (my plan anyway) but if it comes to it, I will. Me and my baby's father aren't getting a long rn bc I'm seeking comfort in him and when I do he keeps repeating how we aren't going to be together ever and that I need to stop confiding in him. And yes I love him and want to be with him regardless of how shitty he treats me but my intention rn is seeking comfort. And he makes me comfortable but won't be there for me rn bc he feels like he's leading me on. So I'm without the only person that calms me down. He'll be there but I have a feeling he's gonna be distant with me and not help me through this birth. Everyone else honestly is just irritating me. Not on purpose, I'm just irritable and nervous and they try to calm me but it really doesn't help. I'm scared of the pain. Idk if I can do this. I wanna cry. I have already but I'm trying look strong but I wear my heart on my sleeve and everyone always knows how I feel about things. And like how do you push? I thought common sense the whole time, there's a baby coming out of your vagina so use your vaginal muscles to push but I was recently informed that you don't use those muscles. I was told to push like you're going to poop and that's what gets the baby out and I'm just a mess and ranting bc this day just hit me like a ton of bricks bc Ive been putting it to the back of my mind.

You shouldn’t have to go thru this by yourself and It’s perfectly normal to feel the way you do. My baby’s father does the same exact shit except he says were gonna eh together but dissapears days at a time leaving me to do a lot by myself and I can’t stand it like at least be straight up so I don’t waste my time on him you know. But I’m 20 weeks I’m not as far along as you but I wish you the best of love and if you ever and I mean it like really wanna vent you could always hit me up.

You'll be fine hopefully you have other support to be there. A mom or friend someone that's true to you. In going thru it w my baby dad too. And unfortunately he's all I have other than his people and of course kashdon our son about to arrive in June. Your body will know what to do even if you don't.just have faith. And if it counts me n Kash are praying for u and your family.

I was induced too, at first the contractions were uncomfortable and then they got pretty painful. I opted for the epidural, which really wasn't as terrible as I had imagined, you sit up on the bed, usually they have you set a pillow in your lap so you can lean over it. (Most have a button you can press every half hour or so to give yourself another dose of medicine) My man wasn't there for that (he was there for the birth tho) but his sister had spend the night and was by my side the whole time holding my hand. Even if your not comfortable with family, consider having a best friend or a really good friend in the room with you, it was nice to have someone there to hold my hand. Once the epidural was in and the medicine started working my bottom half was numb. I can't remember if they inserted the catheter before or after I had my son, but it was for sure after the epidural because I didn't have any pain. I didnt feel the contractions anymore, the nurses had me hooked up to a machine that measured them and they'd be like "that was a big one!" And I'd be like, "Oh. Really?" 😂 😂 😂 Doc came in when I was ten cm dilated and broke my water. It was a little weird pushing and not feeling anything lol but I was told to push down on my bottom. Like five pushes later my son was born :) I started to tremble and shake real bad afterwards, which can be really alarming if your not expecting it but its totally normal. I was just so happy that my son was crying and healthy that everything else seemed small :)
Your body is amazing, trust it, your doctors and nurses are there to answer any questions you have so don't be afraid to ask. <3

All modesty just flies out the window lol Oh, and be prepared to whip out them boobies for baby if you can plan on trying to breastfeed lol Not even twenty minutes after he was born, the nurses had him against me and were trying to help me get him to latch :) There should be a lactation nurse on the floor to answer your questions and to help you.

Oh, also some, not many, hospitals have the option of laughing gas now for pain, I don't know how well it works but I thought that was pretty interesting and kind of weird lol

@leroydoom Thank you, everything is fine rn. The were gonna do cervadil or whatever but I was too nervous and dilated too much to get it so at 5am tomorrow they're doing pitocin and going from there.
