When my son was born they couldn't stabilize his blood sugar. He would drop really low and they ended up having to use glucose and kept threatening to move him to the NICU, place him on an IV and run continual glucose checks on him. Today my husband's dad, who was there in the room when they started having issues with it, tells me I was inappropriately worried about the situation. Seriously, I have a nursing degree, blood sugars are serious. Just because you don't realize how serious a situation is doesn't mean that I'm wrong. It just means you don't get it. Now the more I think about it the more pissed I get.
