So I am really freaking out about leaving my baby (1 night in May,and 2 nights in July).... both are for bachelorette parties of my 2 best friends who's weddings I am in, and 1 maid of honor for....i feel like I really should be there bc I will look back and wish I went..and 1 of them I am planning bc I'm her MOH. Anyway, I am looking for other moms on here who have left their babies overnight around 6-8 months that can make me feel better about doing this bc I feel awful!!!! At least my baby will be with her father though. Both of us are not leaving

My husband and I left my son with my mom when he was like 7-8 months old for our anniversary. It was hard, I cried a little, but thank goodness for technology. My mom kept me updated with pictures and we would FaceTime at night. It made it easier for sure!

@littleonemorning awww. So sweet! Thanks for sharing! I need mothers like you to tell me they have done it and that it is OK for us to leave them once in a great while and that were not being bad mom's by doing it! How long were you away for?

@italmama111, three nights! I was so ready when we came home. My son could have cared less lol he didn’t really notice I was gone. I still have a hard time leaving him for my to go to doctors appointments and stuff. I’ll text my husband to see how he’s doing. 😂 but thankfully as long as someone is there to love and cuddle them, they are usually okay. I learned to just keep myself busy while we were out and check in when I could.

@littleonemorning I know I feel like it's going to kill me more than my baby. See for my 2-nighter I have to drive 5 hour by myself to meet up with my other friends and that's what's going to make me even more sad ugh

@italmama111, just be happy! I think the first couple of hours are the worst, but then once you get into your happy moments with your friends you’ll be good. 😊 enjoy yourself and you’ll feel like a new person when you come home to her and your husband.

My MIL takes my son every other weekend from Friday-Sunday since he was 3 months . He’s now 6 months and still goes over there or goes to my sister in laws ... I hesitated at first but let them know they have to FaceTime me every night and morning
