Maybe A Best Friend??

@zackemilymcguire, my bestfriend offered. I just didn’t know if it should be something I do alone, or should i ask someone to come with me..

@hermama its really yur decision i think having a best friend support since u dont have a SO is a great idea

Honestly it could go both ways! You might want somebody during labor after already being close to pushing or you might wanna be alone. The first two times I had my kids dad who was so supportive and helpful! this time (different dad) I want to be alone......

I guess it all depends on what you want or what you feel, but I would definitely want someone. I could never have done it alone. I had my husband with me, and I was so thankful that he was there with me the whole time holding my hand telling me everything's okay. We ended up having to go to an emergency C-section right away as soon as we could. That's not how we planned it we thought we were going to do natural birth. So we were rushed off to the ER for the C-section and my husband was there the whole time holding my hands and talking to me keeping me calm and. I was just so blessed that he was next to me. I need it might be different for you you might not want someone with you or maybe you do but if I were you I would definitely have someone with you. In the end if you don't want someone with you you can always kick him out, LOL. :D.

I don't think I could ever have done it alone. If I didn't have a husband I would have totally use my mom and if I didn't have a family member I would have used my best friend. I just felt so much more safe and better and was someone there with me next to me holding my hand telling me everything will be okay. Especially being rushed off to have an emergency C-section it was great having someone there because I was bawling my eyes out the whole entire time I'm hoping my son isn't going to die on me. So it was just amazing having my husband there next to me just in case something bad happened he would be there.

@sjo1, i see. Yea, i just don’t wanna get used to having someone around or there to support me bc in reality, it really is just me. I gotta start getting used to that.

@hermama You'll be ok and it's ok to have support during labor. It's a painful experience so having your best friend might be helpful .... I wish I lived closer! we'd totally be friends lol.

@hermama Depending on how close you and your best friend are, she might be the one constant in you and your baby's life :)
