@avahcruz yeah like I just started my baby on her first food yesterday other than cereal oatmeal. .she tried sweet potato and I know she only eats that once a day ..when does that like become twice a day and 3 times a day and so on?
Well the way I did it with my son was 1 meal at 6.5 months 2 meals at 9 months and at 12 months he will have 3 meals per day so maybe introduce like that? It’s really up to you there’s not really a wrong or right way to do it until they are 1 year. Formula or breastmilk will be her primary source of nutrition before that point.
@avahcruz right that's what I wasn't sure about...if you slowly start to wean off breastmilk and then her be completely off of it by the time she is 12 months? Wasn't sure how that worked. .but her pediatrician said n more than once a day at least until her 6 month check up
You don’t have to completely wean by 12 months that’s up to you as a parent, breastmilk and formula become insufficient in terms of the nutrients they need, but still has some benefits...so it’s really a personal choice. As far as pediatricians I would look into guidelines by the American Academy of pediatrics (AAP) or the World Health Organization (WHO) because many doctors use outdated information, you definitely can introduce food how you see fit until they are one!

We were told to start with once a day, then around 2-3m later go to twice, and then after another 2-3m we could go to three times.
