My son just turned a year and when he’s upset he does the same thing, sometimes even holding him gets out of control. I’ve been working on learning to calm him down by rubbing his belly and telling him to breath and rubbing their head nicely and say no that’s not good don’t do that. It’s been a lot less since you’ve started.

My youngest I would re direct her to playpen or bed where she could safely throw her fit.

When caleigha would do this I would just make sure there wasn’t anything that could seriously injure her near her then I’d ignore her. She doesn’t do it often now.

They don’t usually do things to themselves that they can’t stand pain wise.

My foster son done that right at a year old he would throw fits and littirtly throw his self in the floor or head but the table and every time he done it I busted his ass for it or put him in his crib to chill out and it worked he only done it for a month or so

@mama.ally2009 My daughter has been doingthis since she was 11 months old so ive tried everything. Its just been getting worse here lately

@taylormightknow I'm planning on it. I actually was gonna talk to the ped at her 18 month appt but other than that there's nothing else I can do

@santistevanmommie Genesis literally pushes it though. Shes bruised her head and doesnt care if it hurt. If she thinks it hurts, she just go and hit her head again making it really really red and forcing me to come in and whoop her for doing it. If she hurts herself too bad, I comfort her... Otherwise, I'm clueless on what to do because everything else just isn't working

@1st_time_wonder, I think if you try ignoring her and telling her that’s not how she gets your attention it may help. She knows if she does it too much or hard enough you’ll respond. So teach her that she needs to communicate in other ways

Could you call her doctor up and make an appointment? @1st_time_wonder It could be one or many different reasons. If not, try to keep her as safe as possible... You think maybe she is having a hard time with communication? I know it must be frustrating for you. 😢 Maybe record her without her knowing for the doctor to see.

Yea bring it up tp her doctor. I know sometimes at her age it can mean some type of development issues . Fingers crossed that it’s not best best to talk to the pediatrician about it hun

My son does it when he's mad about something. My doctor said one day he will do it hard enough that he will never do it again.

@1st_time_wonder keep an eye on her im sure ur doing everything u can (: she will stop eventually im sure. Shes gorgeous btw id be super sad to see her hurt too.
