I make them everywhere cause not everyone shops at the same places. Plus the coupons and samples you get are awesome. You can start your registry any time you want. I may go ahead and start mine
If you have family in other states or far away cities, Amazon would be a good place, I've had a few friends go that route. My sister registered me at Target (she planned my baby shower for me) and it was super easy to set up the registry.
It really just depends on when your planning to do your baby shower, I'd say make one 6wks-8wks before, that way it gives your friends and relatives plenty of time to get a gift before your shower.
I made minenat 15 weeks but I didn't share it with anyone until I was 24 weeks and had the baby shower st 34 weeks. I did Target, Wal-Mart, Babies R Us and Burlington
My suggestion is to make them atleast 2 months before your baby shower. You can easily do them online BUT i can tell you that there are things at the store that they dont have posted online. I know because i'm currently doing mines... Lol. I started mines online, but when i got to the store it was more realistic... and inconsideration that most of the people at my baby shower will be older ladies who dont shop online. Lol.
I suggest Target... after you create a registry, whether you use it or not just go to the customer service desk and ask for a baby gift bag for creating a registry with Target.... they will give you a bag with goodies and samples in it.
Other then that, theres Walmart, Babylist, Burlington, and Amzon.
Walmart gives you a free baby gift box too that you will have to register online for.
Amazon, you'll have to be a Prime member and make a $10 purchase to recieve a baby gift box... ALTHOUGH, after i completed every requirement THERE WAS A MESSAGE CLAIMING THAT THEY RAN OUT AND WILL SEND ME ONE ONCE IT BECOMES AVAILABLE AGAIN!!! I was so angry.
Anyway, on my baby shower invitation my sister added both Wal-Mart and Target registries on there... i just made sure that i didnt repeat items besides like diapers and baby wash... but the other items arw not repeated per store.
