Most drs do nothing if its not 3 days or more.he's still a newborn age call his drs office...try to elevate him have him sit more upright in swing ...since Thursday i feel is too long for a newborn..is he drinking reg ..no fever?they need gravity to help push..since they are usually laid flat

I think breastfed babies poop less than formula fed babies. @mama_kat89 am I right about that?

I read somewhere to exercise your baby to help move their bowels. When I feel that my son is having a hard time pooping I lay him down and move his legs in a bicycling motion and take opportunities to help him stand when he feels like it.

Normal at that age. His body is probably using all the vitamins and nutrients from your breast milk so there is no waste product being made. Same thing happened to my son when he turned 3 months. Also at that age, their digestive system matures. I say give it a week or so and see what happens. If he doesn't seem in pain or uncomfortable, he should be fine.

Breast fed babies can go 14 days without pooping as long as baby doesnt seem in pain
