So my baby will see the bottle and get all excited, opening his mouth wide. But the minute I put my nipple to his mouth, he shuts it and looks disgusted. He DEFINITELY knows the difference between the two. And I do have a good supply as I pump about 6-8 oz every 2-3 hours but I guess he likes the ease of the bottle. Feeling quite defeated...

don't what's important is that he is eating! you are doing great 💖💖 I felt that way when my milk supply dried up 2 weeks after my 2nd was born and I had to formula feed

You’re right. Fed is best. I just wish I didn’t give up breastfeeding so quickly because everything was going great other than my fatigue and nipple pain. I had anxiety over whether he was eating enough and was so exhausted that I would fall asleep during his feeds - the nipple cracks didn’t help either. So I decided to pump till I caught up on sleep and healed. Now he loves the bottle too much lol :( oh well. I just want that bond. But I guess it’s for my own personal gain than his - he doesn’t know any difference really lol

Rub the milk all over the nipple before putting it in his mouth first

@starting_over39, I’ll try that. He latches now but quits easily when he doesn’t get an easy flow like the bottle lol :(

Try expressing a bit before each feeding as well. That should help the flow so he doesn't have to work as hard 😉
