So my husband and I had a conversation the other night that I’ve never really thought about...trust.
He mentioned that a friend of his, who is another uber/lyft driver, and his wife are separating. It was especially sad for me because they have a 1yo son and she just found out she’s pregnant. But then I heard the reason...my husband mentioned that sometimes his friend vents to him about his wife. He says she isn’t taking care of herself or the house. Every time he asks her about it, she says she’s spending time with their son. Understandable..but they have one child and when he asks her to shower or clean up a bit while the son is sleeping or something she refuses. So he says to my husband “I really just want to find something on the side, you know?” And my husband, caught off guard and not sure how to respond says “everyone needs something sometimes”
So then my husband comes to me because he said he realized that probably wasn’t the best response. His friends wife had found the messages (another reason for the separation) and he thought she might come to me that he could be cheating as well. Literally the thought had never occurred to me. Pretty much all the wives of these other drivers I know hate their husbands going out at night. We live in Vegas..that means drunk girls, skimpy outfits, and guys heading to strip clubs. I know my husband has been in strip clubs with the people he drives multiple times but not for the girls, he gets a major kickback for the business he brings and he will stick with the people to take them to different clubs. I know my husband. I’ve known him since elementary school. I know and trust him enough that I’m 100% fine with him going, I’m 100% fine with him flirting a bit for the extra tips (I worked in retail and I flirted my butt off for tips I get it!) but I also know it would never go any farther than that. He’s told me he gets offers all the time to go back to some girls hotel room which he obviously declines. So we have this discussion..I told him that there’s obviously a line you don’t cross but harmless flirting? I honestly don’t care. I know there are people who consider that cheating and I get that. But I trust my husband enough to know when it’s going too far. But if some drunk girl wants to wink and show off her fake boobs and tip a little extra for the cute friendly guy driving? I’ll take it lol I know when I start nursing I’ll get the odd crazy flirt in my hospital and my husband is cool with it. It happens. Even though I’m the only person my husband has ever slept with, and even though I know he’s curious, I know he will never stray because it’s not in his nature.
It never crossed my mind that I should ever distrust him but I’m glad we had this conversation. Hearing that his friend was so open about finding a date on his drives makes me so sad..his wife seemed so sweet. Sorry this is so long! But I’m jut feeling so much more secure in my own relationship ❤️
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
