@sjo1, they’ve both moved on and in relationships. He talks about our future but I don’t want to get married one day and she still uses it. Like no. Am I being to petty about this? He doesn’t know why she still has it that way.

Do they have kids together? That’s the only reason my mom kept my dads last name so she’d ha e the same name as us kids.

@babydiehl2016, it’s Mccrary. It’s not a super terrible name but I never looked at it as she didn’t like her name and kept his.

Whenever someone changes their name they have to go down to the social security office, change their name their, wait for their new social card, go get a new id, go change it at work, drs, post office, ect. And im pretty sure they have to pay to change it back. I almost went threw a divorce a couple years ago, and i was going to put it in the papers that my husband had to pay for my name change to go back to my maiden name. But we canceled the divorce, so im not sure about that part. My point is it does take effort. But i would never keep a ex's name lol. Kinda creepy.
