Any ladies get gestational diabetes and it stuck around after baby? I’m so afraid to go get tested…

I've had it twice, it went away.

@curlysue, I did too both I was clear my first pregnancy but after I got it with my other two I got checked while at the hospital but they want to do a glucose test like the one whole we’re pregnant I guess some new protocol

They did the same thing with me. Once the placenta is gone it’s not an issue. You should be fine.

I had it with my son and this baby, but they compared my blood from last time and this time and I don’t test as a diabetic outside of pregnancy. But the testing they had me do after the my son is newer, and just to make sure. I was nervous too, but I’m sure you’re good. 😊

@mimimommyof2, I was in the same position. My mom has type 2 so they were really worried. I hope it’s not the case for you.

@mimimommyof2, same. It runs on my moms side, but usually not until much later into adulthood.
