How to Handle a Work Attendance Review While Pregnant?
I've got a review of my attendance at work today 😣 I've been off 4 times over a 26 week period and they want to talk to me about it. Being pregnant and hormonal, I'm worried I'm going to fly off the handle. I think I've done extremely well attendance-wise concidering how bad MS has been. I threw up at work only yesterday in clear view of everyone and their response was to tell me to get a bucket and bring it into work with me, Lol. I've also been doing way too much unwanted overtime for these guys. So 1 slightly out of touch word from them and I'll probably hit the roof. 👊👊👊😂😂🙊🙊🙊🙊 hopefully they tell me it's just procedure and leave it there! Or else I'll be losing my filter 😂

If your sickness is when you’ve been pregnant they can not touch you. Read up on the gov website or get hold off your local union. They will give you all the correct legal information. You take them along to your meeting with you and they will do the talking for you. I would imagine once you tell your boss a union rep will be present with you they will call it off

I work in a school and its basically a group you join that supports you in legal matters. Citizens advice bureau can also help if they're giving you a hard time at work. Any midwife or health care professional will vouch for you also so talk to your midwife about how you've been feeling and what work is saying. As if pregnancy isn't hard enough!!

@rachaellw Each occasion has been from pregnacy related illness. I couldn't see anybody coming with me because it's tonight at 22.30 (I work nights). But I'll look up a bit about it so I've got some knowledge of it all. I can't see my workplace throwing a spanner at me because I actually work extremely hard but just incase they do come out with some rubbish, I'll get myself prepared. Worse thing is I can't even say for sure that I won't be sick from any time onwards after this meeting either but they should know and understand that. Xx

@clarelushx, I’m pretty sure they can’t hold a meeting over it as it’s been to do with your pregnancy I’d double check

@mrsmowmow @rachaellw I've just read that link there and it does say pregnancy related sickness shouldn't go through the same procedures as normal absences. So basically this entire meeting shouldn't even be happening. Lol. Xx

@mrsmowmow it's a shame it's so late on in the day, I could have gone into town and had a chat with a union. I can't see me getting out of this meeting tonight. I reckon they're going to play it informally and it'll be over within 5 minutes because they'll want me to crack on with my work. I don't think they realise that I shouldn't be going threw this line and if they do know they're probably just trying to scare me into going into work no matter what conditions I'm in. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm off tomorrow so I'll go see a rep then xx

Give ACAS a call they were really helpful when work tried to put me through disciplinary hearing while I was off sick with pregnancy related issues x

The irony. They couldn't hold my meeting tonight because the colleague who was supposed to be present during it called in sick 😂 gives me time xx
