As I prepare and stock up on baby items for my baby boy who will be coming this June my heart breaks a little. My sisters are telling me to wait until after my baby shower to see what i really need or may need more of instead of going out to make all these purchases... they are entirely right but you see ladies, we all have our own past stories that only we'll ever know the amount of pains that we went through. With my first i was young, resourceless, afraid, private, and had my disadvantages. I had absolutely nothing prepared for my baby girl... her first gifts were free things we got from the hospital. I ended up with a c-section and a partner who didnt give a shit about us. Do to personal complications it took me 2 months to fully heal my incision and get back to work. For those two months my life was hell... no money, no diaper, and just had nothing.

10 years later now with my 2nd baby on the way I'm feeling content but a little haunted by my past. There's plenty of what if this happens to me, or what if that... esp with multiple levels of being high risk i just feel a little uneasy.

If anything i just want to atleast know that my baby will have somethings to help him get by.

Ladies, i pray that God will protect all of us, give us all the strength we need to manage healthy births, and heal our babies from anything harmful. It's a blessing to become a mother ladies but i know the struggles that come with it.... all i have to say is I admire every single one of you because i know what it takes to become a mother!
