I don't think so. I always started early. If you're finding out the gender you can just start with small things that you don't mind having gender neutral. I'm not finding out the gender though so I've had all my things picked since I was about 9 weeks. It's hard to wait! It's so exciting!
@quansmommyy I see nothing wrong with starting early:) it makes me feel more organized and prepared so when people ask what we need I can just send them the registry and I don't have to double check everything

If it were me I'd wait until I knew the gender -- at at least til I knew I was outside the "miscarriage" window. I'm superstitious like that.
