If it's the tattoo, I had this happen last year. I have 9 tattoos and it's only happened once thankfully. But I just got my first session done I figured because it was four hours of work it would just take longer to heal until it got to the point I couldn't move my arm and it was constantly hurting and I went in. It was a bacterial infection, Had to get a shot in my butt to get antibiotics into my blood stream asap and 10 days of antibiotics and it cleared up no problem and the infection left no damage to my tattoo. You should go in as soon as possible to get it looked at.
@madismommy It was so painful 😩 By the time I went in most of my tattoo was white and puffy, looked really nasty. I went to the emergency room when I couldn't deal with the pain anymore. They made it seem like a really big deal and that's why the shot first was so important. I would get a second opinion if you think your doctor's wrong or if its still causing you pain in a few days.
@harlichance, I told my husband that if it’s not looking better by Sunday then I’m definitely going to the ER! Mine isn’t white and puffy it just has a looooottt of little blister looking bumps all around it ! And it hurts so bad’ I also could barely move my arm every time I move it just feels like I’m ripping my tattoo open all over again! It’ is real painful 😔

After it healed I was so scared to go back in and get the second session and thankfully I've had three more since and haven't gone through that. The er doctor told me that because it was a fairly large tattoo and how long it took that it's easier for bacteria to enter the wound.
@madismommy Hopefully the cream your doctor prescribed will work. Try to keep it clean and possibly covered as much as possible. If the pain continues to increase you should definitely go back in.

@harlichance, @boymamachronicles, I went to my doctor and she only gave me some damn cream ! I’m so pissed off! It hurts so bad I could Cry.
