Potty training tips ? My daughter wasn’t doing well w the pull ups bc she knew she could still potty…

I would say wait and try again. She’s still little so she probably doesn’t really understand the concept yet

That’s what i was thinking , she got sick so i stopped pushing the potty thing ( she was doing REALLY well before ) & sence trying again .. she hasn’t wanted to sit on it .. she cries sometimes when she pees on herself bc she dousnt like it .. but proceeds to go in her undies 😩 i was just so happy before now I’m discouraged 🤦🏽‍♀️ maybe it was a short run of luck lol I’ll probably let her continue for a few before asking her to try again , thanks momma ! @braindeadmama,

Have you tried a potty chart?

I did ! When she was doing well.. she was Into the stickers and so excited .. now she could care less about the potty chart lol. I’ve been bribing her w m&ms & that’s the only thing that worked .. for like 3 days now she’ll like ask for one even when she dousnt go and idk if i should be giving her one for just sitting down .. or tell her no bc she’s not even using the potty . I don’t just want to discourage her but i don’t want her to think she’ll be rewarded just to sit .. bc she be playin me lmao just for an m&m @mami.jasmine,

How old is your daughter? I work as a provider at a day care and we usually have to potty train a few of the children. I typically work with children between the ages 3-5 and they are usually potty trained by that time. For the ones who aren’t I do not recommend the pull ups because they do know that they can pee on them haha what I do is start them with training panties. Get them familiar with using the restroom by reading books, singing songs, watching childrens videos, etc.. just to kind of encourage them and what not and then for beginners I know they could care less if they pee on themselves or not so I have them use the restroom atleast every hour! And everytime they can use the toilet I give them a sticker to put on a potty chart that counts how many times they went successfully that day. It helps and it can make it a little more exciting for them and encouraging. If you can stick with it for a few days, they could be trained in less than a week! Then after that all you gotta watch for is the pee pee dance and you’ll know it’s potty time.

Giiiirl I’ve done it all . The stickers , potty chart , just started on underwear - we tried pull ups & that didn’t work . We do the songs , gotta maybe get some books tho 🧐 & when I’m putting underwear on her every half hour like you said also - i make her at least sit on the potty even if she dousnt go . I was also telling one of the other moms , she’s not but a year and almost 5 mo this old . So it could just be too early and i don’t wanna stress her to do it if she can’t or .. dousnt want to . @oceanna, aww babygirl just aint having it! Well just stick with it, she will come around. I had a boy in my class that just refused to use the restroom! I tried everything with him as well and he just wasn’t having it. He would literally cry everytime I had him use the restroom, but once he did start going and was celebrated and rewarded he got so much better about it. The only thing was that I had to be so consistent with it or he would go back to not wanting to do it, and it was a major struggle because his life at home was literally soggy diapers all day. It was so sad to have to start over every week, but I had to work so hard with the child and talk and encourage the parent everyday to help him! I hope your girly catches on soon! Good luck.
