**PLEASE SHARE!**
A coworker of mine, SSgt Gudknecht, found out about a week ago that his 22 year old son had stage 4 testicular cancer. By the time they realized this, it had already spread to his abdomen, lungs, brain, and lymph nodes. His son had 8-9 sessions of radiation on his brain, but they decided to do brain surgery because the giant tumor wasn’t shrinking. Once they got in there (yesterday), they realized it was actually a blood clot and not a tumor, which is great news! His family remained hopeful with their sons 54% chance of survival until after surgery they checked his blood count and realized he was bleeding internally. They couldn’t figure out where it was coming from until last night when his lung collapsed and they saw massive amounts of blood within it. SSgt Gudknecht was told that his son won’t make it through the day. Everyone in my clinic is trying to either raise money for his family (wife & 4 other children) and/or food for them. I understand bringing food isn’t really possible from where you all might be but even a single dollar would be extremely helpful. My heart aches for his entire family, I hope this reaches out far enough to really help them out so they don’t have to worry as much about bills and can focus on grieving.
