Don’t let it stay moist and wrapped up too long

It’s okay for it to dry up a little bit too much moisture isn’t good at all

Also don’t put any vaseline or any other kind of lotions on it until it’s fully healed

Congrats! Lol .. yeah just for tonight leave it wrapped up in a&d. I recommend Dial Bodywash GOLD to clean up. Keep it moisturized with A&D at all times. Dont pick on the scapes it will itch like hell but just put A&D. What did u get

@madismommy, my husband is a tattoo artist and you shouldn’t keep a fresh tattoo wrapped the whole night it needs to breathe or else you will make the ink fade .. just wash it up & apply a thin layer of a&d and try and stay off of it .. personal experience with my tattoos.. 👍🏻 every one is different on what they decide to do & what their artist suggest them to do, good luck , tattoos are awesome 😃

A&D can actually pull the ink out of your tattoos. You can actually use tegaderm safely on your tattoos if you want to wrap it. Or, you can wash it off with water, dry with a paper towel, and go to bed without any ointment on it. They suggest wrapping it overnight because of the plasma that your skin secretes with a fresh tattoo. If you’re worried it’ll stain your sheets, wrap it. If you don’t care about your sheets, let your tattoo do its thing. 😊

Edited to add: Be sure if you use ointments to use a very thin layer, because your skin needs to be able to breathe in order for your tattoo to heal. Ointments clog your pores and stops your skin from breathing.

@madismommy, beautiful tattoo! Wait you where using aqua lotion!! Nooo girl! Theres your problem do not put lotion. Only a&d and a thin layer all around just massage it. Get that dial bodywash GOLD to clean it! ITS the best to clean bacteria for tattoos.

@madismommy, honestly i dont know about that one, the reason why I recommend Gold Dial is because thats what my tattoo artist recommend me. Yoo my ink is fresh and beautiful!

@madismommy, honestly i never tried that on any of my tattoos and never heard of it for tattoos, A&D was always a go for me and i never had a problem with it. If ur experiencing some type of reaction just use the A&D it’s probably that what ur using but i know nothing about aqua for tattoos lol

@madismommy, Stop using whatever is giving you a rash. Just use a small bit of A&D if it doesn’t bother your skin. I always use the dial gold soap to clean my tattoos.
