Can they put you on blood pressure meds? Keep you pregnant longer?

@halifax6, I have high blood pressure I’ve had it since I was six they put me on baby aspirin I’ve been on it my whole pregnancy and my other pregnancies I really can’t take anything right now

@mariarose114 there are blood pressure medication they can put you on. Have they tried you on any of those to manage your BP? I was on labetalol maxed out at 2400mg a day, 4 pills(800mg) every six hrs. And I was even hospitalized from 34-37 for preeclampsia and high blood pressure, and they added nifedipine every six hours. Pills every three hours 😥 Not ideal to be on so many pills, but you would think they want to keep that baby cooking! That's why they kept me in the hospital. I was on BP meds from my first appointment it was 185/96 and baby asprin from week 12 on. I hope all goes well! I'll be sending you positive vibes. Keep us posted.
