He said he had already thought about it, that he'd have had my mom baby sit every day and not sleep at night. I know his aunt would have gotten even more involved and helped at night.
Whenever I asked my husband before about what's the plan if he dies suddenly, he said "I'm never dying, so don't worry about it." Only once he told me that he has a life insurance policy and that it's all for us now, previously his mother got half and I got half.
I urge you to have the hard conversation with your spouse if you haven't already.... Make sure you always have a back up plan.

So I was going through old paperwork months ago and came across my husbands life insurance policy. And it was set up for when if he died his ex wife got everything! Or if his ex wife wasn’t available to get the money it was to be split between his parents and his exes parents. My god I was furious. Because the winter here had been awful and he’s drives 40 minutes to and from work everyday and at the time was working 12 hours 3rd shift 7 days a week. This fucker almost fell a sleep behind the wheel. Okay. So I made this point that if he died we’d be thrown on the street and he just kind of looked at me dumbfounded. Let me tell you it was a week long argument. I told him we had to get a divorce if he still loved his ex wife so much not to change the life insurance policy. I’m over here completely dependent on him (by his choice not mine) and at the time was pregnant with Harmony and I already had my daughter of course. He couldn’t understand the concept that we’d be fucked. He just kept saying I won’t die and blah blah blah. And i was like CHANGE THE FUCKING POLICY OR IM LEAVING YOU. I found it completely unfair. That cheating whore didn’t deserve a dime. She got 6 years of draining him of everything and was still draining him through the divorce. But anyways 2 weeks later he decided to get it changed. Shouldn’t of taken that long.

@icomplainalot, omg, I feel your frustration! Hubby had brought me home from work too, so I had no savings, just what he had made and was pissed to find his mom got half! I'm like she's a lazy, crazy drunk and is also married... I'll be your widow! He changed it after we had our daughter.
