I myself haven't but- I'm a teacher and I have to communicate with different Speech Therapist for certain children... In my opinion it depends on the the child's situation.
I think it's very helpful my brother took speech therapy he was left back in school because they couldn't understand him in kindergarten ( and he started early as well)
I think it's helpful. I was in speech from the time I was a toddler till I was 17 because I have a really bad lipse. And until this day I still use a lot of strategies I was taught as a kid to pronounce words I have difficulty saying

My 3 year old is in speech therapy and for him, it’s been a huge help! He speech has improved a lot in a short period of time!
