Any advice for a first time mom whose baby does not like to be put to sleep/lay down in his crib or…

It is hard. Snuggle him since he's brand new. He just needs that skin to skin. The first month is the hardest until he figures out you're not going anywhere. Then maybe for naps try the crib. But yea right now Its gonna be hard to get some decent sleep

Well he’s young so he will get over it by about maybe two months I swaddled mine really good and laid her on her side she slept good like that

Try that thing people r doing. Swaddle him and one of ur shirts so he feels ur scent

It’s definitely difficult right at the beginning. I bought a co sleeper to put in the bed with us so that my son would be close to me and my husband. But some nights I had to just let him sleep on my chest. Things will get better though !! I know it’s hard to imagine rn.

@misscoco, I’ve tried laying him down for both naps and sleep, but he just won’t do it.

@lydia09876, I know he’s young. He’s only a week old today, so it’s understandable as to why he’s colicky. He absolutely hates to be swaddled so that technique hasn’t really worked out for us since we got home. :/

@scardona19, I would do that,but my baby boy absolutely hates to be swaddled. 😩😞

@talia.renshaw9, We spend our nights in the living room with him on one of our chests or arms... and even then I still feel it isn’t that safe for him to sleep that way, but it also seems to be the only way he’ll actually sleep at night and in general. :/ It is hard to imagine, but I believe it will get better with time... he’s only a week old. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@tyrellp, what’s cluster feeding? He hates laying down in general though, not just at night. 😕 He’s fine sleeping on our chest, but that’s the only way he’ll sleep. We spend our nights on the couch now so he can sleep through the night.

@miaheka, I was totally against co sleeping but if it’s the only thing that would help my son sleep I had to. I don’t move at all when I sleep so that helps. And it didn’t cause any bad habits, my son has slept through the night in his crib since he was 2 months. You’re doing great though. Just a little bit longer mama 💙

I got a dockatot cosleeper for in bed very expensive but it was so worth it, my son is almost 6 weeks old and still to this day it the same way, I think it's because I breast feed. .. but that definitely helped he doesn't even like his swing and I wear him in my carrier throughout the day
