Idk about breastfeeding but afterwards my periods were legit murder scenes

My periods actually got better. I used to bleed for 5 to 7 days each time, and they were excruciating before my son. Now they’re much shorter and less painful.

I havent heard of the breast feeding effecting it but yes postpartum periods you bleed to death for a little bit. everyone is different. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be.

My postpartum bleed was heavy af for since I gave birth for only 3-4 days I would bleed through 4-5 of the hospital pads every day and after it was like my regular period light af for like 3weeks and like 2 more weeks of brownish spotting. Now my first period lasted 6 before it was 3-4 days but is wasn’t bad at All. I never use to cramp and I didn’t cramp now.. I just got off my period to.

I actually heard while breastfeeding you’re body tends to avoid the period hormones just a little and some breastfeeding moms don’t have their real period for even up to 6months to a year.

@brittany_blessing, honestly it’s a good thing as bad as it sounds. I lost the rest of my baby weight after my first period cleaned everything out.

@xomarylee, my postpartum bleed is just spotting now. I only bled through the pads the first day. I thought I was supposed to bleed way more. And that sounds like heaven compared to the horror stories I’ve been hearing about periods and how breastfeeding supposedly makes it worse.

@brittany_blessing, search it up, some moms really don’t even get it or just spot through it. But I stopped breastfeeding at a month so I wouldn’t now lol
