It kind of irritates me when my mother makes little side comments to me or other people about my life or decisions. First off, I’ve been completely self sufficient since a few months after I graduated high school, I have not lived with or accept dmoney, anything from my parents since literally then.(if anything we’ve given way more to others, which is besides the point but.) So why she feels like she needs to be in my business like that is beyond what I can comprehend.

She threw my baby-shower and made it clear that she wasn’t going to throw another one for any other kids I might have, which was completely random because I never said anything about even wanting one for a second child. Her gift she got me was a crib for Athena, again- something I didn’t ask for and was planning on purchasing myself literally until she told me she got it when I went to buy it at babies r us. She said “I hope you know I’m not buying a crib for every child you have”. Or the comments she makes like, I’m too young to have one grand child let alone more. She’s almost 50. I understand that’s not old but Christ.

It’s not just about kids, there’s far more examples of her being in my business. Which has actually sparked fights between my husband and I , and arguments with my parents and us. I love my mother dearly but this abrasive shit where she thinks she has a say in everything is insane. I accept suggestions, but I hate being told how to live.
