So how do you moms of two do it? More importantly, any moms with a two year old and a new born? I’m worried Connor won’t like his brother because being that I’m getting a c-section I won’t be able to hold him and only the baby. I’m mostly worried about Connor honestly and how he’ll react

My babies are 13 months apart the first week home is the hardest my suggestions is start teaching your son to sit next to you instead of on you and teach him be patient or wait a minute. My son was so used to Always sitting on me he had a hard time getting used to not being able to climb on me because I had his sister, and he was so used to getting things immediately teaching him if I said be patient meant to be calm and he’d get what he wanted helped a ton special with breastfeeding now he doesn’t just freak out if he doesn’t get things immediately.

I do ... I started to explain to her during my pregnancy about the baby and what to expect .. she’s a great helper and now she talks to me about the baby .. I had a c section too you can start now by not lifting the 2 year old anymore just do the grab his hand and take him to the sofa and kiss him up

@kyandmadimommy, I’ve been trying to teach him to be patient a bunch, he’s started to get super whiny if he doesn’t get what he wants immediately. And he’s always climbing on me, and being that I’ll have a c-section scar my plan of action is to show him my ‘booboo’ and maybe he’ll understand that Mom isn’t feeling good. I plan to nurse and it’ll be me and the boys after next week. So I’m hoping maybe seeing that dad is helping me that Connor will want to the same as dad

@ccancilla3, I’ve tried explaining to him so much that there’s a baby in mommy’s belly but he doesn’t get it. I think he won’t understand until he meets his baby brother. I think starting tomorrow I won’t lift him anymore because I’m getting my c-section on Monday. We’ll see how it works! Lol

Also explain you’ll have a cut on your belly and we have to be gentle with mommy .. kids are super smart .. just repeat to remind and he’ll do great

Same here. I’m worried as well. I don’t pick up as much now because of my back but I can’t help but get urges to pick up him up and attack him with kisses lol I ll stop. My son also throws fits when he’s not getting something fast. I’ve tried the patient thing but he’s not getting it 😓 I’m just gonna have to try harder.

I had a csection too it really does suck not being able to pick up your big baby(that’s what I call my son), but I also started teaching “ask daddy” so when he’d be wanting cuddles or something and my husband was off work I can say “ask daddy” and he’ll go to him. He was only off for a week after I left the hospital but by the time he was back at work we were able to get settled! It’s hard at first but kids are so smart your son will catch on very quick!
