@lnkedupmommy, WIC in Texas allows you to do an interview over the phone so does Medicaid. You don’t even have to come in if you don’t have a vehicle or can’t get a ride. WIC also gives you a card (like a credit card) you can mix all the items in the grocery store and the cash register automatically separates the WIC items to the card, then you can pay the rest with either food stamps or your money. People in the south are also A LOT nicer. They help you out to make sure you get the help. Over here their assholes, people act like the money is coming out of their paychecks. 😒👎🏼

@lnkedupmommy, you’re right. NJ is overpopulated and a liberal state so they give more government assistance. Because of the increase in people receiving these benefits, there is a decrease in money given to the physicians and less good clinics that will take Medicaid. The state of Texas gives Medicaid easily to a pregnant woman or children but make it extremely difficult for an adult to obtain- this provides better care to those that do have it. And don’t think people don’t be popping kids over there left and right. 😩 I remember doing MADD paperwork for just one family because they had a lot of kids.
@lana2018, @lnkedupmommy, yallll. Household means something completely different. If your parents claim you as a dependent then YES you have to include them. If not, your household only consists of you, your husband (not boyfriends or any kids they have) and any children that you claim as a dependent.
@lana2018, if they don't claim you as a dependent and you are an adult, and you are the one claiming your child, your household should only consist of you and your kid. Right now it's only you if you're still pregnant. And if you have no income, you can say that. Your parents don't count. They should be clarifying the meaning of household with people so this shit doesn't happen. It's important to receive those benefits if you need them and that's a stupid reason not to be granted benefits.

Yooo. NJ is horrible with their system!!! I worked doing this shit in Texas and our system over there including WIC is Soooo much better.
