We are so excited for it! We decided to definitely get one this baby bc he is our last baby, hubby is getting snipped bc I almost died after giving birth, and we had a friend who's baby got tangled in his blanket and almost suffocated, he was blue when they found him. If they had the owlet or another version of the technology they would have known he was in distress before it got that far... luckily the baby survived and was checked out ok.

@lulu85_18, so it's been 4 nights of using the owlet. I absolutely LOVE it!!! Im getting better sleep now knowing that he has the monitor on. I'm a deep sleeper and don't always wake up easily.

The owlet had several alerts with sound and color for the base station. It alerts red for O2 level and heart rate problems. Blue for disconnection, and yellow if the sock shifted or possibly fell off. It turns green and pulses for normal readings. And when plugged in it is white for charging.

Fully charged it will read for 18 hours! The app is free, and there is a second app for $8 a month that keeps a log of everything.

The app is awesome, it has hearts on the heart rate line and O2 line for when readings are normal and little wiggling feet pop up along with "(baby name) is wiggling". I know it's a small detail, but it's cute and I love it!

It comes with 3 socks that the sensor can move between. 0-18 months. It also came with a warranty.

We bought ours new for $300 from the company, 3 days later my friend tagged me in one for sale in FB for $215! So that was annoying, but we were happy to have the warranty and be able to return it if we didn't like it.

Have you had an issues with the sock coming off? Does it work even if your baby is wearing a pair of jammies, or does it have to be directly on the foot?

@lulu85_18, hubby didn't like that the "shifting" yellow alarm took 2 minutes to go off. Which is a surprised it took so long.

No, the owlet 2 straps across the wide part of the foot then around the ankle. It hasn't filled off yet, even while he kicks.

Has to be directly in the skin. I put the sock on then his Footy pj's and that's actually how he's worn it every night.
