They add 2 weeks to go by the date of last period, not the date of conception (which would be on average 2 weeks after last period).

Yeah my doctor told me something about really being pregnant 10 months. I believe the first month doesn’t count.

See I had the same problem and my doctor said they go by 42 weeks not 40.
