I figure by the time my son turns two I'll start weening him from the pacifier... Seem like a decent…

@skylersmommy11916, I feel like during the day wouldn't be so bad without it but at night time is where we would struggle some. But maybe after a couple days not having it it'd be ok. I baby sat this little girl in high school I was her first babysitter and I think by the time she was 2ish her parents told me they were thinking about stopping the paci and that night I put her to bed without it and she was fine and they said they never gave it to her after that lol but like me they were hesitant about starting and I just took it and went with it and she acted like it was nothing.

@missjess yeah basically what we did is take them all away. Out of sight out if mind. My mom was watching him one night and she didn't give him a pacifier and he was fine so that was when we stopped with them completely and it's like nothing different to him. We just did the same with switching him to a toddler bed, put the bed together and took down the crib at the same time and moved it to storage, he's been just fine sleeping in his new bed. Both things were easier to quit than I thought they would be.

@skylersmommy11916, I hope it is here too! He goes to his dad's too so I just don't know if he truly will follow suit. He's with me mostly so hopefully even if he doesn't I can still get him to with me.

@missjess my son goes to his fathers on weekends so I told him when he didn't have a pacifier and I told him to get rid of the crib. Don't know if he really did with the crib but I hope so
