So is it true that when breastfeeding you should not give baby a pacifier until about a month in?

@njbsquared, most breastfeeding moms on this app, and my LC also told me that. they say it can push you into over supply but it didn't for me.

@njbsquared, i use Avent with the slowest flow nipple. Nuk also has some! and i didn't start pumping til 2 weeks. they recommended 6 weeks but i had to go back to work early 🤦🏽‍♀️

@boymamachronicles thank you. I haven't even started pumping to be able to consider bottles yet. What's the name brand for those type of bottles?

@db413 @jahniesha thank you! They gave my son a pacifier in the hospital but only for his circumcision. I don't want to ruin our almost 2 weeks of progress lol

yeah cause of nipple confusion. i breast feed and got the bottles that are like "moms nipple". mine didn't get confused lol he likes both

That’s what best but everyone is different I gave my son a paci while we were in the hospital and he never got nipple confused but my sister gave her son a paci while in the hospital and after that he wouldn’t latch🤷🏾‍♀️ to each it’s own I know they say it’s best to wait though

They say not to because of nipple confusion but it’s 100% your choice.
