Id take the hand me downs (depending on what they were) and still shop. Baby grows fast, maby that'll give you a chance to buy bigger stuff for as baby grows

I honestly felt the same way when I had my daughter she was my first baby I wanted everything brand new for her, however like @laciemarie said babies grow extremely fast and even if they are hand me downs you will be so glad to have taken them they'll come in handy girl! 😊

Nope not at all i felt same way i dont feel like my baby need hand me downs i feel like my baby deserves new things so i know exactly how u feel i mean i get she trying to b nice but u should juat let her know

@sjo1, I believe you! I’ll take any advice I can get since this is my first time experiencing any of this. I accepted a baby tub from her so far lol but she wants to give me her bassinet etc, I may consider it 🤗

@khawkins yeah definitely consider it even if you don't end up using it you can always donate it and give it to somebody else! :)

@larubia2723, Yess!! That’s exactly how I feel girl. Like I just want to have my baby’s nursery look a certain way some of the things she’s trying to give me just doesn’t fit what I had in mind 😩 like patterns etc

@khawkins ok well u need to tell her some ppl might b like ugh but they need to understand like my sis kn law had my shit for my babygirl to b and i said i dont want nothing from noone aslong as its new or something i dont want hand me downs is ok to feel like that but i told my husband to tell her no lol cuz i didnt know how to say no to her but thats your friend it may n different

@larubia2723, Lol it is kinda hard to say no cause I know she just tryna be nice 😩 I’ll find a nice way to let her know that I appreciate her trying to help, but I don’t want her items. Some of the things she’s trying to give me I do want, just a lot of the bigger things like bassinet, etc I don’t want from her. Other people probably are like girl I wish I had a friend to give me all that 😂😂

You are right. I feel the same way. Maybe im even weirder because depending who it is sometimes i feel like they just do it so that they can proclaim that they prepped you up.
