I put Vaseline on my son for about 2 weeks !!!

@novacanemommy, @mariarose114, so you can’t put them in water ? Only do a sponge bath ? Or wipe down ?

They told me not to do anything to it. So I never did put Vaseline on it

About two weeks, my son’s bandage fell off about two days after i got home with him i kept giving him sponge baths for the two weeks,

I put my son in water to help it heal faster I just didn’t use soap on him for 2 weeks

@bbyzvcy18, recommend circumcision ? I do ! I mean it just prevents the cause of any infections & when you don’t choose to have it done you always always have to keep close eye on it especially while they get older .

Keliaa not disrespecting your decision to choose what is best for your child in any way, but I can tell you as a nurse that this isn't the case. If your reasons are religious or personal, more power to you, you do you. But if you think you need to do it because medicine is telling you to, know that this isn't the case at all. I can tell you more if you are interested but I didn't want it to seem like I was attacking you on such a personal matter. At the end of the day, this is YOUR baby, and you decide. However, if you have the time I would really recommend watching "The Elephant in the Hospital." It's on YouTube, long, but brings up some good points. Shows why that research on infection rates is bogus. Feel free to message me if you want to know my experience as a medical professional who has chosen to keep my son intact, if not that's perfectly fine too! Lots of love to you! Just because we may choose different things as moms doesn't give anyone an excuse to bash. Just want to offer what I know so you can make an informed decision on your baby. ❤❤❤

I’m having a little boy and I’m definitely getting him circumcised. My brother didn’t get circumcised and when he was younger he pissed all over the place and had to get circumcised at 10 years old! I watched him go through so much pain. You made the right decision
