It depends on your partners income go to your local citizens advice and explain your not going back to work an your partners earnings then they will be able to tell you how much use can get when does your pay stop xx @natalie.louise89

I've not gone back due to Charlies breathing condition... I get child benefit which is 82 pound a month and tax credits it seems like nothing but thers an online calculator u can do! Im sure im entitled to more but in the middle of application xx

Check the website entitledto.co.uk itl work out all the benefits your entitled too haha. My OH earns enough for us all to live on, cause he gets tax credits etc that pretty much equal what I'd earn working.

@beffgoude I think my partner said he would probs get enough for us on his wage I just didn't want to rely on him 😂 especially with a mortgage, I don't want to go to work yet either I'll feel like I'm missing out with Kai 👶💙

@natalie.louise89 hey a mortgage is cheaper than renting, so atleast that's in your favour!

I just always took it that if I was working my wage would be pretty much paying for someone else to raise my babes, and I'd rather do it myself. 💪

@beffgoude thats true! 😊 yeah I don't want someone else looking after him I've been proper chewed up about it, I'll have to speak to Gary cause he said if I didn't want to go back to work I don't have to cause he knows how miserable I was there, I want to be the one looking after Kai 😊

I didn't return to work because of the same reason and it worked out okay in benefits I just hated having no life and nothing of my own coming in. In the end I got a really good new job opportunity so now I work and my partner stays at home, we get housing benefit, child benefit and child tax plus my wage so it works out at roughly 2 wages coming in so it's better than having to pay for childcare xx

@shannonn95 I'm not sure that we are entitled to any benefits I've tried to do it online and guess my partners income 😂 I'll do it properly with him but all that's showing up is child benefit which I already get, I looked up childcare its £25 for 4/5hours 😣 tbh though I don't want someone else looking after him while he's still so little xx
