So my daughters pediatrician confirmed she is simply a late talker . She doesn’t do 2 word phrases…

Just read to her and be patient all kids learn at there own pace. Once she starts she will never stop ! Also teaching her simple sign language can help with the frustration of not knowing what she wants or needs you can look that up online !

One thing that I've done with some of my nephews was talking to them about everything your doing like when your making dinner for example: if your making a salad have her help you and as she hands you things tell her what they are and repeat it as much as you can (try doing that for every situation) Put some of her toys up high and if she wants them tell her she has to say what she wants if she wants it like if she wants her ball try getting her to say it before she can have it.

@mommiesaremagical14, i agree it is a very great skill I did this with my autistic son he didn’t talk until he was almost 5 so learning sign was a huge help he’s almost 14 now and he never stops talking lol but it did help us allot

@krys I learned it years ago because we just happened to have 3 deaf regular customers at an old job of mine. So I learned it to be able to help them better. After I stopped working there is stopped using it. Now I don't remember a lot of it. So I'm teaching myself again.

Mostly talk to her like a regular person, but name off as many things off to her as u can, such as ask her if she wants her cup when she goes for it. Same with any thing else she points at and be consistent

@imanimomma that's good. My boy was behind at 18 month check up. So I googled mile stones for 2 year old and he was mostly caught up by the 2 year check up. The only show I intentionally let him get hooked on was sesame street. Still trying to figure best way to teach him. Now I'm thinking flash cards.

@imanimomma he is now doing really good with Baby's First Words games on my phone, but then he keeps wanting my phone
